Research Operations & Logistics
The Research Operations & Logistics plays two pivotal roles that facilitate the Department of Research & Evaluation’s growth and success: as an advocate for the research program’s operational and logistical needs in the region, and as a coordinating center for core operational and logistical services that support the research department’s growing staff.
The Operations & Logistics team works with other Kaiser Permanente departments to secure new space, manage facility needs, and assist Research IT with requirements for advanced systems and technologies. Team members also coordinate key services, from onboarding new staff to procuring office and research supplies.
The team works to enhance the department’s effectiveness and ability to provide value to Kaiser Permanente by developing efficient, scalable, seamless, and automated processes, and by deploying operational best practices that foster resource sharing and integration across work groups.
The IT group provides technology services for the entire Department of Research & Evaluation.
