Clinical Trials Division
The Clinical Trials Division advances medical innovation by supporting evaluation of new drugs, therapies, and devices to prevent and treat health problems. Participating in clinical trials benefits Kaiser Permanente and its members alike: members have access to treatments not yet available to the public and physicians learn about new therapies before they come onto the market.
Kaiser Permanente Southern California has formal clinical trials programs in several areas, including oncology, pediatric oncology, infectious disease and hepatology. Independent investigators conduct clinical trials in more than three dozen different specialties and sub-specialties.
Clinical trials staff support trials at medical centers throughout Kaiser Permanente Southern California. A team of regional administrators, managers, project managers, and research associates based at the Department of Research & Evaluation provide administrative support to the clinical trials program as a whole.
