In the past, I have performed clinical research pertaining to screening for gestational diabetes, numerical criteria identifying gestational diabetes, the relationship between maternal diabetes and fetal macrosomia, maternal alloimmunization and fetal hemolytic disease. I have also published on the ethical, medical and legal considerations involved in maternal-fetal conflicts regarding patient care during pregnancy. Currently I am interested in prevention of gestational diabetes, establishing norms for maternal glycemia during labor, and the maternal and fetal consequences of early delivery of women who have diabetes.
