Dr. Becerra-Culqui’s research interests are in maternal and early childhood health, health equality, and neurodevelopmental disorders. She has clinical and research expertise in pediatrics. As an occupational therapist, she worked with children with developmental delays and managed early childhood health outcomes in underserved communities.
Dr. Becerra-Culqui has done epidemiologic research on the effects environmental factors have on pregnancy and autism. Her experience also includes health services research into cancer, autism, and transgender care. Her focus at Kaiser Permanente is on vaccine research, specifically assessing the safety of vaccines administered during pregnancy and early childhood.
