Biography
Dr. Annette Regan is a pediatric and perinatal infectious disease epidemiologist in the Division of Epidemiologic Research. Her research focuses on maternal, pediatric, and adult vaccines.
Before joining Kaiser Permanente, she worked for federal and state health agencies including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the state health department in Western Australia. Her research led to the development of novel vaccine safety surveillance systems for pregnant women and methods for monitoring maternal vaccine safety and effectiveness.
Dr. Regan continues to collaborate with government agencies including the CDC, World Health Organization, and Pan-American Health Organization. She is currently studying the safety of flu and COVID-19 vaccines during pregnancy and evaluating the epidemiology of respiratory coinfections in young children during the COVID-19 pandemic.
