Biography

Dr. Javed Sheikh is chief of the Department of Allergy and Immunology at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. He is vice area research chair for the Los Angeles area on the Regional Research Committee. He was named 2024 Physician Researcher of the Year by the Southern California Permanente Medical Group.

Dr. Sheikh has served as the training program director for Allergy and Immunology since he joined Kaiser Permanente over a decade ago, and has mentored many fellows and residents in allergy, internal medicine, pediatrics, and family medicine on their research projects.
