Biography
Dr. Benjamin Broder is the interim executive director of research for the Department of Research & Evaluation and a practicing family medicine physician at the Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center. He leads work that strives to improve the quality of clinical care. He is the regional assistant medical director for Quality and Clinical Analysis for the Southern California Permanente Medical Group, and a Certified Professional in Patient Safety, a credential of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. He holds board certifications in Family Medicine, Clinical Informatics, and Healthcare Administration, Leadership & Management.
In his role as interim executive director of Research and as a sponsor of the Care Improvement Research Team, Dr. Broder supports opportunities for embedded research, or research in clinical practice. He connects researchers with clinicians to identify key questions and secures organizational support to get studies under way.
...Through this bridging of research and clinical practice, clinically relevant findings can be put into practice to improve the delivery of care. Dr. Broder is a senior lecturer at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine.
