Biography
Dr. David Cohen is an otolaryngologist and chief of the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at the Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center. He is the area research chair for South Bay on the Southern California Permanente Medical Group’s Regional Research Committee. He is clinical assistant professor of Clinical Science at the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine and a physician member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Cohen serves as physician lead for practice efficiency at the South Bay Medical Center, regional lead on the thyroid nodule molecular testing multidisciplinary team, and as a member of the medical center’s cancer care redesign team. He is the Southern California regional lead on the thyroid nodule molecular testing multidisciplinary team. His research interests include population-based studies focusing on optimizing patient care and the care experience with the goal of delivering efficient and effective high quality medical care while leveraging technology to maintain physician wellness.
