Biography
Dr. Fu-Sheng Chou is a neonatologist and clinician researcher at Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Society for Pediatric Research. Dr. Chou aims to apply data science, machine learning, and advanced statistical techniques to improve neonatal care and neonatal outcomes. Using these techniques, he hopes to illuminate the enigma of bronchopulmonary dysplasia and identify a better clinical definition that will encompass a more precise long-term health prognostication for premature infants.
In addition to bronchopulmonary dysplasia research, Dr. Chou leads a project in collaboration with the Pediatrix Medical Group to develop cutting-edge, longitudinal postnatal growth charts for premature infants. He also collaborates with clinician investigators at Stanford University and the University of California, San Francisco on various projects.
